1. Umhobe ka-Asafu. Thixo, iintlanga zingene elifeni lakho, Ziyenze inqambi itempile yakho engcwele; Ziyenze yayimiwewe iYerusalem.
2. Izidumbu zabakhonzi bakho zizinike iintaka zezulu ukuba zizidle, Nenyama yabakho benceba ziyinike amarhamncwa elizwe.
3. Ziliphalazile igazi labo njengamanzi ngeenxa zonke eYerusalem; Akwabakho mngcwabi.
4. Senziwe ingcikivo kubamelwane bethu, Isigculelo nesicukucezo kwabasingqongileyo.
5. Kunini na, Yehova, uhleli uqumbile? Liya kuvutha njengomlilo na ikhwele lakho?
6. Phalaza ubushushu bakho ezintlangeni ezingakwaziyo, Ezikumkanini ezingalinquliyo igama lakho.
7. Ngokuba zimdlile uYakobi, Zalenza inxuwa ikhaya lakhe.
8. Musa ukubukhumbula kuthi ubugwenxa bamanyange ethu, Mayingxame isikhawulele imfesane yakho: Ngokuba siswele kakhulu.
9. Sincede, Thixo ongumsindisi wethu, ngenxa yozuko lwegama lakho, Usihlangule, uzixolele ngocamagushelo izono zethu ngenxa yegama lakho.
10. Yini na ukuba iintlanga zithi kuthi, Uphi na uThixo wabo? Makwazeke ezintlangeni, emehlweni ethu, Ukuphindezelwa kwegazi labakhonzi bakho eliphalaziweyo.
11. Makuze phambi kwakho ukugcuma kwamakhonkxwa; Ngokobukhulu bengalo yakho basalise oonyana bokufa.
12. Yibuyisele kubamelwane bethu kasixhenxe esondweni lengubo yabo Ingcikivo yabo, abakungcikive ngayo, Nkosi.
13. Ke thina bantu bakho, zimvu zaluswa nguwe, Siya kubulela kuwe ngonaphakade, Sibalise ngendumiso yakho kwizizukulwana ngezizukulwana.
