1. Umhobe kaDavide: oko ebesentlango yakwaYuda. Thixo, unguThixo wam, ndiya kukuquqela kwakusasa, Umphefumlo wam unxanele wena; inyama yam iyakulangazelela Ezweni elingumqwebedu, elibharhileyo, eligenamanzi.

2. Ndenjenjalo ukukhangela kuwe engcweleni, Ukuba ndibone amandla akho nobuqaqawuli bakho.

3. Ngokuba inceba yakho ilungile ngaphezu kobomi, Umlomo wam uya kukuncoma.

4. Ndiya kwenjenjalo ukukubonga lo gama ndihleliyo, Ndiphakamise izandla zam egameni lakho.

5. Umphefumlo wam uhluthi umongo namanqatha; Ngemilebe yomlomo wam omemelelayo uya kukudumisa umlomo wam,

6. Ndakukukhumbula emandlalweni wam, Emilindweni yobusuku ndicamanga ngawe.

7. Ngokuba uluncedo kum, Ndinokumemelela esithunzini samaphiko akho.

8. Umphefumlo wam uthene mbende nawe; Isandla sakho sokunene sindibambile.

9. Ke bona bafuna umphefumlo wam ukuze batshabalale, Baya kutshona kwezisezantsi iindawo zehlabathi.

10. Baphalazelwa emandleni ekrele; Baba sisabelo seempungutye.

11. Ke yena ukumkani uya kuvuya ngoThixo; Baya kuqhayisa abo bonke bafunga yena; Ngokuba uya kuvingcwa umlomo wabathetha ubuxoki.
