ምዕራፍ 17

1. አቤቱ፥ ጽድቄን ስማ ጩኸቴንም አድምጥ፤ በተንኰለኛም ከንፈር ያልሆነውን ጸሎቴን አድምጥ።

2. ፍርዴ ከፊትህ ይውጣ፥ ዓይኖችህም በቅንነት ይዩ።

3. ልቤን ፈተንኸው በሌሊትም ጐበኘኸኝ፤ ፈተንኸኝ፥ ምንም አላገኘህብኝም።

4. የሰውን ሥራ አፌ እንዳይናገር ፈቃዴ ነው፤ ስለ ከንፈሮችህ ቃል ጭንቅ የሆኑ መንገዶችን ጠበቅሁ።

5. እግሮች እንዳይናወጡ አረማመዴን በመንገድህ አጽና።

6. አቤቱ፥ ሰምተኸኛልና ወደ አንተ ጠራሁ፤ ጆሮህን ወደ እኔ አዘንብል፥ ቃሌንም ስማ።

7. የሚያምኑህን ከሚቃወሙ በቀኝህ የምታድናቸው፥ ቸርነትህን ድንቅ አድርገህ ግለጠው።

8. እንደ ዓይን ብሌን ጠብቀኝ፥ በክንፎችህ ጥላ ሰውረኝ፥

9. ከሚያስጨንቁኝ ከኃጢአተኞች፥ ነፍሴንም ከሚከብቡአት ከጠላቶቼ።

10. አንጀታቸውን በስብ ቋጠሩ፥ በአፋቸውም ትንቢትን ተናገሩ።

11. አሁንም እርምጃችንን ከበቡ፤ ዓይናቸውን ወደ ምድር ዝቅ ዝቅ አደረጉ።

12. እርሱ ንጥቂያን እንደሚናፍቅ አንበሳ ተሸጕጦም እንደሚኖር እንደ አንበሳ ደቦል ነው።

13. አቤቱ፥ ተነሥ፤ ቀድመህ ወደ ታች ጣለው፤ ነፍሴን ከኃጢአተኛ በሰይፍህ አድናት።

14. አቤቱ፥ ከሰዎች፥ እድል ፈንታቸው በሕይወታቸው ከሆነች ከዚህ ዓለም ሰዎች በእጅህ አድነኝ፤ ከሰወርኸው መዝገብህ ሆዳቸውን አጠገብህ፤ ልጆቻቸው ብዙ ናቸው የተረፋቸውንም ለሕፃናቶቻቸው ያተርፋሉ።

15. እኔ ግን በጽድቅ ፊትህን አያለሁ፤ ክብርህን ሳይ እጠግባለሁ።
