Sura 79

1. Ee Mungu, mataifa wameingia katika urithi wako, Wamelinajisi hekalu lako takatifu. Wamefanya Yerusalemu chungu chungu.

2. Wameziacha maiti za watumishi wako Ziwe chakula cha ndege wa angani. Na miili ya watauwa wako Iwe chakula cha wanyama wa nchi.

3. Wamemwaga damu yao kama maji Pande zote za Yerusalemu, Wala hapakuwa na mzishi.

4. Tumekuwa lawama kwa jirani zetu, Mzaha na dhihaka kwao wanaotuzunguka.

5. Ee Bwana, hata lini? Utaona hasira milele? Wivu wako utawaka kama moto?

6. Ukali wako uwamwagie mataifa wasiokujua, Na falme za hao wasioliitia jina lako.

7. Kwa maana wamemla Yakobo, Na matuo yake wameyaharibu.

8. Usikumbuke juu yetu maovu ya baba zetu, Rehema zako zije kutulaki hima, Kwa maana tumedhilika sana.

9. Ee Mungu wa wokovu wetu, utusaidie, Kwa ajili ya utukufu wa jina lako. Utuokoe, utughofiri dhambi zetu, Kwa ajili ya jina lako.

10. Kwa nini mataifa kusema, Yuko wapi Mungu wao? Kisasi cha damu ya watumishi wako iliyomwagika Kijulike kati ya mataifa machoni petu.

11. Kuugua kwake aliyefungwa Na kuingie mbele zako. Kwa kadiri ya uweza wa mkono wako Uwahifadhi wana wa mauti.

12. Uwalipe jirani zetu mara saba vifuani mwao Laumu zao walizokulaumu, Ee Bwana.

13. Na sisi tulio watu wako, Na kondoo za malisho yako, Tutakushukuru milele; Tutazisimulia sifa zako kizazi kwa kizazi.
