1. U-Elihu wathatha wathi:

2. “Usho uthi lokhu kulungile na? Uthi: ‘Yilungelo lami kuNkulunkulu yini,’

3. njengokuba uthi: ‘Kungisiza ngani?’ nokuthi: ‘Ngizuzeni kunalokho ebengiyakukuzuza, uma ngonile, na?’

4. “Ngizakukuphendula mina ngamazwi, wena nabangane bakho.

5. Bheka ngasezulwini, ubone, uqaphele amafu aphakeme kunawe.

6. Uma wona, wenzani kuye na? Uma iziphambeko zakho ziziningi, wenzani kuyena na?

7. Uma ulungile, umnikani yena, noma umukelani esandleni sakho na?

8. Ububi bakho buqondene nomuntu onjengawe, nokulunga kwakho kuthintana nendodana yomuntu.

9. “Abantu bakhala ngobuningi bezinkahlo; bakhala ngokusizwa ngenxa yengalo yabanamandla.

10. Kepha akakho othi: ‘Uphi uNkulunkulu, uMenzi wami, ozwakalisa amahubo ebusuku,

11. osifundisa phezu kwezilwane zomhlaba, asenze sihlakaniphe phezu kwezinyoni zezulu.’

12. Lapho bayakhala ngokuzidla kwababi, kepha akaphenduli.

13. Impela uNkulunkulu akezwa okuyize, uSomandla akayikukunakekela;

14. kakhulu kangakanani, lapho uthi awumboni nokuthi, noma icala liphambi kwakhe, usamhlalela, na?

15. Kepha manje, ngokuba intukuthelo yakhe ingajezisi, anganaki kakhulu iziphambeko,

16. uJobe uvulela ize umlomo wakhe; uyandisa amazwi engenalwazi.”
