1. Indodana ehlakaniphileyo iyalaywa nguyise, kepha isideleli asilaleli ukukhuzwa.

2. Umuntu uyadla okuhle ngesithelo somlomo wakhe, kepha umphefumulo wabambuluzayo uyadla ubudlwangudlwangu.

3. Olinda umlomo wakhe ugcina ukuphila kwakhe; okhamisa izindebe zakhe uyakuba nencithakalo.

4. Umphefumulo wevila uyafisa, ungatholi lutho, kepha imiphefumulo yabakhutheleyo iyakhuluphaliswa.

5. Olungileyo uyazonda amazwi amanga, kepha omubi ubanga amahloni, ahlazise.

6. Ukulunga kuyamlondoloza ondlela yakhe iphelele, kepha ububi buyachitha isoni.

7. Kukhona ozishaya ocebileyo, engenalutho kodwa; kukhona ozishaya ompofu, enemfuyo enkulu.

11. Imfuyo etholakala kalula iyancipha, kepha obutha kancane kancane uyandiselwa.

12. Ithemba elilitshazisiweyo ligulisa inhliziyo; isifiso esigcwalisiweyo singumuthi wokuphila.

13. Odelela izwi uzehlisela ukubhujiswa, kepha owesaba imiyalo uyakuvuzwa.

14. Ukufundisa kohlakaniphileyo kungumthombo wokuphila, ukuze kudedwe ezihibeni zokufa.
