1. Klappið saman lófum, allar þjóðir, fagnið fyrir Guði með gleðiópi.

2. (47:3) Því að Drottinn, Hinn hæsti, er ógurlegur, voldugur konungur yfir gjörvallri jörðinni.

3. (47:4) Hann leggur undir oss lýði og þjóðir fyrir fætur vora.

4. (47:5) Hann útvaldi handa oss óðal vort, fremdarhnoss Jakobs, sem hann elskar. [Sela]

5. (47:6) Guð er upp stiginn með fagnaðarópi, með lúðurhljómi er Drottinn upp stiginn.

6. (47:7) Syngið Guði, syngið, syngið konungi vorum, syngið!

7. (47:8) Því að Guð er konungur yfir gjörvallri jörðinni, syngið Guði lofsöng!

8. (47:9) Guð er orðinn konungur yfir þjóðunum, Guð er setstur í sitt heilaga hásæti.

9. (47:10) Göfugmenni þjóðanna safnast saman ásamt lýð Abrahams Guðs. Því að Guðs eru skildir jarðarinnar, hann er mjög hátt upphafinn.
