1. જ્યારે ઇસ્રાએલીઓ વષોર્ પૂવેર્ મિસરમાંથી નીકળ્યા, તેથી પરભાષા બોલનાર લોકોમાંથી યાકૂબનું કુટુંબ નીકળ્યું.

2. પછી યહૂદિયા દેવનું નવું ઘર અને ઇસ્રાએલ દેશ તેમનું રાજ્ય બન્યાં.

3. તેઓને આવતા જોઇને લાલ સમુદ્ર બે ભાગમાં વહેંચાઇ ગયો; યર્દન નદી પાછી વળી અને દૂર દોડી ગઇ.

4. પર્વતો ઘેટાંઓની માફક કૂદ્યા અને ડુંગરો ગાડરની જેમ કૂદ્યા.

5. અરે લાલ સમુદ્ર! તને શું થઇ ગયું કે તું બે ભાગમાં વહેંચાઇ ગયો? યર્દન નદી, શું થયું તારા પાણીનું? શા માટે તમે પાછા હઠી ગયા?

6. અરે પર્વતો, તમે શા માટે ઘેટાંની જેમ કૂદ્યા? અને ડુંગરો તમે કેમ હલવાનોની જેમ કૂદ્યા?

7. હે પૃથ્વી, પ્રભુની સમક્ષ, યાકૂબના દેવની સમક્ષ, તું થરથર કાંપ.

8. તેણે ખડકમાંથી પાણી વહેતું કર્યું. તેણે ચકમકમાંથી જળનાં ઝરણા વહાવ્યાં.
