પ્રકરણ 12

1. હે યહોવા, રક્ષા કરો; દેવથી ડરનારાઓનો નાશ થઇ રહ્યો છે તો પછી વિશ્વમાં વિશ્વાસુ માણસો કયાં મળશે?

2. લોકો તેમના પોતાના પડોશીઓ સાથે જૂઠ્ઠુ બોલે છે. લોકો જૂઠાણાંથી એકબીજાની ખોટી પ્રશંસા કરે છે.

3. પણ યહોવા પ્રશંસા કરનારા હોઠોનો અને બડાઇ કરનારી જીભોનો નાશ કરશે.

4. તેઓએ એમ કહ્યું, “અમારી જીભથી અમે જીતીશું; હોઠ અમારા પોતાના છે, અમારો કોણ માલિક છે જે અમને અટકાવે?”

5. યહોવા કહે છે, “હવે હું ઊભો થઇશ અને તમારું રક્ષણ કરવા આવીશ, કારણ કે ગરીબો લૂટાયા તેને લીધે તેઓ નિસાસા લઇ રહ્યાં છે. તેઓને જે સુરક્ષાની જરૂર છે તે હું તેમને આપીશ.”

6. યહોવાના શબ્દો સાત વખત ભઠ્ઠીમાં તપાવેલી ચાંદી જેવા સાચા અને પવિત્ર છે.

7. હે યહોવા, તેઓને સંભાળજો; આ દુષ્ટ પેઢીથી તેમને સદાય બચાવજો.

8. દુષ્ટ લોકો શિકારની શોધમાં ચારેબાજુ ફરતાં હોય છે. અને લોકોમાં આવા નકામાં લોકોને માન મળે છે.
