પ્રકરણ 141
1. હે યહોવા, જલ્દીથી મને ઉત્તર આપો; કારણકે, મેં પ્રાર્થના કરી છે. મદદ માટેનો પોકાર સાંભળો.
2. મારી પ્રાર્થના તારી સંમુખ ધૂપ જેવી થાઓ, મારા ઊંચા થયેલા હાથો તે વેદી પરના સંધ્યાકાળના દહનાર્પણોની જેમ તમને સ્વીકાર્ય હો!
3. હે યહોવા, મારા મુખને બંધ રાખવા અને મારા હોઠોને બીડેલા રાખવા મને સહાય કરો.
4. મારા હૃદયમાં કંઇ દુષ્ટ વસ્તુ પ્રવેશે નહિ, જેથી દુષ્કમોર્ કરનારની સાથે તેમના દુષ્ટકાર્યોમાં હું જોડાઉં નહિ અને તેઓ જે કરવા ચાહે છે તેમાં હું તેમને સાથ ન આપું.
5. જો કોઇ ન્યાયી માણસ મને સુધારે તો હું તેમને સારી વસ્તુ કરવા તરીકે સમજીશ. તેમનો ઠપકો માથા પર તેલ નાખવા જેવો રહેશે. હું કદાપિ આવા સ્વાસ્થ્ય વર્ધકનો નકાર ન કરું! પણ ખરાબ લોકોનાં દુષ્ટ કૃત્યો વિરુદ્ધ હું પ્રાર્થના કરીશ.
6. તેઓના ન્યાયધીશો પર્વતની ટોચ ઉપરથી પાડી નાખવામાં આવે. તેઓ સાંભળશે અને અનુભવશે કે મારાં શબ્દો સાચા અને મીઠાં છે.
7. જેમ કોઇ જમીન ખેડે અને આજુબાજુ ગંદકી ફેલાવે, તેમ અમારાં હાડકાં કબરના પ્રવેશ આગળ વિખરાયેલાં હતા.
8. પણ હે યહોવા પ્રભુ, હું મદદ માટે તમારી તરફ જોઉં છું. હું તમારો વિશ્વાસ કરું છું. મારા આત્માનો નાશ ન થવા દો.
9. તેઓએ મારા માટે ગોઠવેલા ફાંદાથી અને ભૂંડુ કરનારાઓએ ગોઠવેલી જાળમાથી મને બચાવો.
10. દુષ્ટો પોતાની જાળમાં ફસાઇ જાય, અને તમે મારી રક્ષા કરો.
