1. હે યહોવા, દુષ્ટ માણસોથી મને મુકત કરો; જુલમગારોથી તમે મારું સદા રક્ષણ કરો.
2. તેઓ પોતાના અંતરમાં દુષ્ટ યોજનાઓ ઘડે છે; ને રોજ રોજ નવા ઝગડા ઊભા કર્યા કરે છે.
3. તેઓએ પોતાની જીભ સાપની જેવી તીક્ષ્ણ બનાવી છે; અને તેઓની જીભની નીચે નાગનું વિષ છે.
4. હે યહોવા, દુષ્ટોના હાથોમાંથી મને બચાવો; જેઓએ મને હાની પહોંચાડવાની યોજના કરી છે; એવા હિંસક માણસોથી તમે મને બચાવો.
5. હે ગવિર્ષ્ઠ માણસોએ મને પકડવા છટકું ગોઠવ્યું છે; આચકો મારીને મને ઊંચે ખેંચીને હવામાં લટકતા છોડવા માટે જાળ પાથરી છે; તેઓ મારા ઉપર જાળ નાખવા જાડીમાં છુપાયા છે.
6. મેં યહોવાને કહ્યું; તમે મારા દેવ છો; હે યહોવા, દયા માટેની મારી અરજ સાંભળો.
7. હે પ્રભુ યહોવા, મારા સમર્થ તારક; યુદ્ધના દિવસે તમે મારા શિરનું રક્ષણ કરો છો.
8. હે યહોવા, આ દુષ્ટો જે ઇચ્છે છે તે તેમની પાસે ન હોય. તેઓની યોજનાઓને સફળ થવા દેશો નહિ; નહિ તો તેઓ ઊંચા ઊઠશે.
9. તેઓના કાવતરાંની જાળમાં તેઓ જ ફસાય તેવું થાઓ; મારું ભૂંડુ થાય તે માટે તેમણે જે યોજનાઓ કરી છે તેનાથી તેઓનો જ નાશ થાય તેવું થાઓ.
10. ધગધગતા અંગારા તેમના મસ્તક પર પડો; અથવા તેઓને અગ્નિમાં ફેંકી દેવામાં આવે; અથવા તો ઊંડા ખાડાઓમાં નાખવામાં આવે જ્યાંથી તેઓ કદી બચી શકે નહિ.
11. જૂઠું બોલનારાઓને આ દેશમાં રહેવા દેશો નહિ, તે દુષ્ટ હિંસક માણસોનો શિકાર અને વિનાશ થવા દો!
12. મને જાણ છે કે, યહોવા નિર્ધન લોકોનો નિષ્પક્ષતાથી ન્યાય કરશે, અને ગરીબોનો હક જાળવશે.
13. યહોવાનો ભય રાખનારા ન્યાયીઓ ખરેખર તમારા નામનો આભાર માનશે; કારણકે, યથાર્થ મનુષ્યો તમારી સક્ષમતામાં જીવશે.
