1. Ubulumko buyakhile indlu yabo, Buzixholile iintsika zabo zosixhenxe;

2. Buzixhelile iinkomo zabo, buyiphithikezile iwayini yabo; Busilungisile nesithebe sabo;

3. Buthume umthinjana wabo, buyamema Ezingqolweni zeenduli zesixeko, buthi,

4. Ngubani na osisiyatha? Makaphambukele apha. Oswele intliziyo, buthi kuye,

5. Yizani nidle isonka sam, Nisele iwayini endiyiphithikezileyo.

6. Yekani ukuba ziziyatha, niphile, Ninyathele endleleni yengqondo.

7. Othethisa umgxeki uzizekela ucukucezo; Owohlwaya ongendawo uzizekela isiphako.

8. Musa ukumohlwaya umgxeki, hleze akuthiye; Yohlwaya isilumko, sokuthanda.

9. Siluleke isilumko, solumka okunye; Lazise ilungisa, lokongeza ukufunda.

10. Yingqalo yokulumka ukoyika uYehova; Ukumazi oyiNgcwele kwaphela yingqondo.

11. Kuba yoba mininzi imihla yakho, Wongezwe iminyaka yobomi.

12. Ukuba uthe walumka, uzilumkela okwakho; Ukuba uthe wagxeka, oko wokuthwala wedwa.

13. Umfazi onguNonyabi uyaxokozela, Unobuyatha, akazi nto;

14. Uhleli emnyango endlwini yakhe esihlalweni, Ezindaweni eziphezulu zesixeko,

15. Ukuba ameme abadlula ngendlela, Abalungelelanisa umendo wabo, esithi,

16. Ngubani na osisiyatha? Makaphambukele apha. Koswele intliziyo, uthi yena,

17. Amanzi abiweyo anencasa, Nesonka esityiwa ngasese simnandi kunene.

18. Akazi ukuba abafileyo bakhona; Basezinzulwini zelabafileyo abamenywa bakhe. Imizekeliso kaSolomon.
