Fejezet 54

1. Mikor a Zifeusok eljöttek, és azt mondák Saulnak: Nem mi nálunk lappang-é Dávid? (54:3) Isten, a te neveddel szabadíts meg engemet, és a te hatalmasságoddal állj bosszút értem!

2. (54:4) Isten, hallgasd meg az én imádságomat, figyelmezz az én szájam beszédeire.

3. (54:5) Mert idegenek támadtak ellenem, és kegyetlenek keresik lelkemet, a kik nem is gondolnak Istenre. Szela.

4. (54:6) Ímé, Isten segítõm nékem, az Úr az én lelkemnek támogatója.

5. (54:7) Bosszút áll az utánam leselkedõkön; a te igazságod által rontsd meg õket.

6. (54:8) Kész szívvel áldozom néked: áldom a te nevedet, Uram, mert jó.

7. (54:9) Mert minden nyomorúságból megszabadított engem, s megpihentette szemeimet ellenségeimen.
