1. És mondá az úr nékem: menj el újra, szeress egy asszonyt, a kit szeret az õ társa és mégis házasságtörõ; a mint az Úr is szereti Izráel fiait, bár õk idegen istenekhez fordulnak, és szeretik a szõlõskalácsokat.

2. És megszerzém azt magamnak tizenöt ezüstön és egy hómer árpán és egy letek árpán.

3. És mondám néki: Sok ideig ülsz nálam; nem paráználkodol és nem leszel férfié; én is így leszek te irántad.

4. Mert az Izráel fiai is sok ideig maradnak király nékül, fejedelem nélkül, áldozat nélkül, szoborkép nélkül, efód nélkül és theráfok nélkül.

5. Azután megtérnek Izráel fiai és keresik az Urat, az õ Istenöket, és Dávidot, az õ királyukat, és remegve folyamodnak az Úrhoz és az õ jóságához az utolsó idõkben.
