1. Bathetha ooMiriyam noAron ngoMoses ngenxa yendawo yenkazana engumKushikazi abeyizekile: ngokuba wayezeke inkazana engumKushikazi.

2. Bathi, UYehova uthethe ngoMoses yedwa yini na? Akathethanga nangathi na? Weva uYehova.

3. Ke indoda le inguMoses ibilulamile kunene kunabantu bonke abasemhlabeni.

4. Wathetha uYehova ngesiquphe kuMoses, nakuAron, nakuMiriyam, esithi, Phumani nina nobathathu, nize ententeni yokuhlangana; baphuma bobathathu.

5. Wehla uYehova ngomqulu welifu, wema emnyango wentente, wabiza ooAron noMiriyam; baphuma bobabini.

6. Wathi, Khanive amazwi am. Ukuba nithe nanomprofeti kaYehova, ndozazisa kuye ngombono, ndithethe kuye ephupheni.

7. Akanjalo umkhonzi wam uMoses; unyanisekile yena endlwini yam yonke.

8. Ndiya kuthetha naye umlomo kumlomo, ngokubonakalayo, kungabi ngantsonkotha; asikhangele yena isimilo sikaYehova. Yini na ukuba ningoyiki ukuthetha ngomkhonzi wam uMoses?

9. Wavutha umsindo kaYehova kubo, wemka yena.

10. Lemka ilifu ententeni; yini le? uMiriyam uneqhenqa njengekhephu. Wabheka uAron kuMiriyam; yini? uneqhenqa.

11. Wathi uAron kuMoses, Tarhu, nkosi yam; musa ukusibeka tyala ngesono esisenzileyo ngokumatha, sonangaso.

12. Makangaseleba njengofileyo, othi ekuphumeni kwakhe esizalweni sonina abe seledlekile isiqingatha senyama yakhe.

13. Wakhala uMoses kuYehova, esithi, Thixo, ndiyakukhunga, khawumphilise.

14. Wathi uYehova kuMoses, Ukuba uyise ubetshice ukutshica oku ebusweni bakhe, ubengayi kuva ihlazo na iintsuku ezisixhenxe? Makavalelwe imihla ibe sixhenxe ngaphandle kweminquba, emveni koko amkelwe.

15. Wavalelwa ke uMiriyam ngaphandle kweminquba imihla esixhenxe. Abanduluka abantu, wada wamkelwa uMiriyam.

16. Emveni koko banduluka abantu eHatseroti, bamisa entlango yaseParan.
