1. Ingoma yazo iingoma, eyekaSolomon.

3. Amafutha akho anevumba elimnandi; Liyioli ethululwayo igama lakho; Ngenxa yoko iintombi ziyakuthanda.

4. Nditsale, sogidima emva kwakho; Ukuba ukumkani undingenise ezingontsini zakhe, Sogcoba, sivuye ngawe. Sozikhankanya izincokoliso zakho ngaphezu kwewayini; Zikuthanda zinyanisile.

5. Ndimnyama, ndinomkhitha noko, Zintombi zaseYerusalem, Njengeentente zakwaKedare, Njengamalengalenga kaSolomon.

6. Musani ukundikhangela ngakuba ndife mnyama, Ngakuba nditshe lilanga. Oonyana bakama bandivuthela ngomsindo, Bandenza umlindi wezidiliya; Ke esisesam isidiliya andisilindanga.

7. Khawundixilele, wena uthandwa ngumphefumlo wam, Walusela phi na? Uyibuthisa phi na imihlambi emini enkulu? Ngokuba kungani na ukuba ndibe njengogqubutheleyo Ngasemihlambini yamakholwane akho?

8. Ukuba akwazi, nzwakazindini phakathi kweentokazi, Phuma, uhambe ngemikhondo yomhlambi, Uwaluse amatakane akho ngaseminqubeni yabalusi.

9. Ndikufanekise, wethu, Nehashe kwaweenqwelo zikaFaro!

10. Zinomkhitha izidlele zakho ziingcaca, Umqala wakho zizidanga.

11. Sokwenzela iingcaca zegolide Ezinamaqhula esilivere.

12. Xa ukumkani asesetafileni yakhe, Inadusi yam isuka ilikhuphe ivumba layo.

13. Sisiqhuma semore intanda yam kum, Esihleli phakathi kwamabele am.

14. Sisihloko sekofere intanda yam kum Ezidiliyeni zase-Engedi.

15. Yabona, uyinzwakazi, wethu! Yabona, uyinzwakazi! Amehlo akho anjengawamavukuthu.

16. Yabona, uyinzwakazi, ntanda yam; ewe, umnandi; Umandlalo wethu uluhlaza.

17. Imiqadi yendlu yethu yimisedare, Iipanele zethu yimisipres.
