1. UJehova wathi kimi: “Hamba futhi, umthande owesifazane othandwa ngumngane wakhe, eyisiphingikazi, njengalokhu uJehova ethanda abantwana bakwa-Israyeli, noma bephendukela kwabanye onkulunkulu, bethanda izigaxa zezithelo zomvini ezomileyo.”

2. Ngase ngizithengela yena ngezinhlamvu eziyishumi nanhlanu zesiliva, nangehomere lebhali, nangenxenye yehomere lebhali,

3. ngathi kuye: “Uyakuhlala kimi izinsuku eziningi, ungafebi, ungabi ngowomunye, nami ngibe njalo kuwe.”

4. Ngokuba izinsuku eziningi abantwana bakwa-Israyeli bayakuhlala bengenankosi, bengenasikhulu, bengenamhlatshelo, bengenansika, bengenangubo yamahlombe namatherafi.

5. Ngasemuva abantwana bakwa-Israyeli bayakubuya, bamfune uJehova uNkulunkulu wabo noDavide inkosi yabo, babuyele kuJehova benovalo nakukho okuhle kwakhe ngezinsuku ezizayo.
