1. ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਕਦ ਤੀਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਛੱਡੇਂਗਾ? ਕੀ ਸਦਾ ਤੀਕ? ਤੂੰ ਕਦ ਤੀਕ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਲੁਕਾਵੇਂਗਾ?

2. ਮੈਂ ਕਦ ਤੀਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਿਚੜੀ ਪਕਾਵਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਗ ਕਰਾਂ? ਮੇਰਾ ਵੈਰੀ ਕਦ ਤੀਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਿਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਰਹੇ?

3. ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਧਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇਹ, ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਦੇਹ ਮਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆ ਪਵੇ,

4. ਮਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਵੈਰੀ ਆਖੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਡੋਲ ਜਾਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ਬਾਗ਼ ਹੋਣ।

5. ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਯਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਚਾਓ ਉੱਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਨਾਵੇਗਾ।

6. ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਗਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰ ਜੋ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
