باب 16

1. اَے خُدا! میری حفاظت کر کیونکہ میں تجھ ہی میں پناہ لیتا ہوں۔

2. میں نے خُداوند سے کہا ہے تُو ہی رب ہے۔ تیرے سوا میری بھلائی نہیں۔

3. زمین کے مقدس لوگ وہ برگزیدہ ہیں جن میں میری پوری خوشنودی ہے۔

4. غیر معبودوں کے پیچھے دوڑنے والوں کا غم بڑھ جائیگا۔ میں اُنکے سے خُون والے تپاون نہیں تپاؤنگا۔

5. خُداوند ہی میری میراث اور میرے پیالے کا حصہ ہے۔ تُو میرے بخرے کا محافظ ہے۔

6. جریب میرے لئے دِلپسند جگہوں میں پڑی بلکہ میری میراث خوب ہے!

7. میں خُداوند کی حمد کرونگا جس میں مجھے نصیحت دی ہے۔ بلکہ میرا دِل رات کو میری تربیت کرتا ہے۔

8. میں نے خُداوند کو ہمیشہ اپنے سامنے رکھا ہے۔ چونکہ وہ میرے دہنے ہاتھ ہے اِس لئے مجھے جنبش نہ ہوگی۔

9. اِسی سبب سے میرا دِل خُوش اور میری رُوح شادمان ہے۔ میرا جسم بھی امن وامان میں رہےگا۔

10. کیونکہ تُو نہ میری جان کو پاتال میں رہنے دیگا نہ اپنے مُقدس کو سٹرنے دیگا۔

11. تُو مجھے زندگی کی راہ دِکھائیگا ۔ تیرے حضُور میں کامل شادمانی ہے۔ تیرے دہنے ہاتھ میں دائمی خُوشی ہے۔
