باب 137

1. ہم بابل کی ندیوں پر بیٹھے اور صیِؔوُن کو یاد کر کے روئے۔

2. وہاں بَید کے درختوں پر اُنکے وسط میں ہم نے اپنی سِتاروں کو ٹانگ دیا۔

3. کیونکہ وہاں ہمکو اسیر کرنے والوں نے گیت گانے کا حُکم دیا۔ اور تباہ کرنے والوں نے خُوشی کا اور کہا صیِوُؔن کے گیتوں میں سے ہمکو کوئی گیت سُناؤ ۔

4. ہم پردیس میں خُداوند کو گیت کیَسے گائیں؟

5. اَے یروشؔلیم ! اگر میں تجھے بھُولوُں تو میرا دہنا ہاتھ اپنا ہُنر بھوُل جائے۔

6. اگر میَں تجھے یاد نہ رکھوں اگر میَں یروشؔلیم کو اپنی بڑی سے بڑی خُوشی پر ترجیح نہ دوں تو میری زُبان میرے تالو سے چپ جائے۔

7. اَے خُداوند! یروشؔلیم کے دِن کو بنی ادوؔم کے خلاف یاد کر جو کہتے تھے اِسے ڈھادو۔ اِسے بنیاد تک ڈھا دو۔

8. اَے بابل کی بیٹی! جو ہلاک ہونے والی ہے۔ وہ مُبارِک ہو گا جو تجھے اُس سُلوُک کا جو تُو نے ہم سے کیا بدلہ دے۔

9. وہ مُبارک ہو گا جو تیرے بچوں کو لے کر چٹان پر پٹک دے۔
