Κεφάλαιο 82

1. Ο ΘΕΟΣ στέκεται όρθιος στη σύναξη των δυνατών· θα κρίνει ανάμεσα στους θεούς.

2. Μέχρι πότε θα κρίνετε άδικα, και θα προσωποληπτείτε τούς ασεβείς; (Διάψαλμα).

3. Κρίνετε τον φτωχό και τον ορφανό· πράξτε δικαιοσύνη στον θλιμμένο και τον πένητα.

4. δλευθερώνετε τον φτωχό και τον πένητα· λυτρώνετέ τον από χέρι ασεβών.

5. Δεν γνωρίζουν ούτε καταλαβαίνουν· περπατούν σε σκοτάδι· όλα τα θεμέλια της γης κλονίζονται.

6. Εγώ είπα: Θεοί είστε εσείς, και όλοι γιοι τού Υψίστου·

7. εσείς, όμως, πεθαίνετε σαν άνθρωποι, και πέφτετε σαν ένας από τους άρχοντες.

8. Σήκω, Θεέ, κρίνε τη γη· επειδή, εσύ θα κληρονομήσεις ολοκληρωτικά όλα τα έθνη.
