Κεφάλαιο 12
1. ΣΩΣΕ, Κύριε· επειδή, εξαφανίστηκε ο όσιος, επειδή χάθηκαν οι φιλαλήθεις ανάμεσα στους γιους των ανθρώπων.
2. Κάθε ένας λέει μάταια λόγια στον διπλανό του· με δόλια χείλη μιλούν, από διπλή καρδιά.
3. Ο Κύριος ας εξολοθρεύσει όλα τα δόλια χείλη, τη γλώσσα που μιλάει μεγάλα λόγια.
4. Επειδή, είπαν: Θα υπερισχύσουμε με τη γλώσσα μας· τα χείλη μας είναι δικά μας· ποιος θα είναι αφεντικό επάνω μας;
5. «Εξαιτίας τής ταλαιπωρίας των φτωχών, εξαιτίας τού στεναγμού των πενήτων, τώρα θα σηκωθώ», λέει ο Κύριος· «θα βάλω σε ασφάλεια εκείνον ενάντια στον οποίο φυσάει ο ασεβής».
6. Τα λόγια τού Κυρίου είναι λόγια καθαρά· ασήμι δοκιμασμένο σε πήλινο χωνευτήρι, καθαρισμένο επτά φορές.
7. Εσύ, Κύριε, θα τους φυλάξεις· θα τους διατηρήσεις απ' αυτή τη γενεά, στον αιώνα.
8. Οι ασεβείς περπατούν ολόγυρα, όταν οι αχρείοι υψωθούν ανάμεσα στους γιους των ανθρώπων.
