1. ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขออย่าทรงขนาบข้าพระองค์เมื่อทรงโกรธ และขออย่าทรงลงทัณฑ์ข้าพระองค์ด้วยพระพิโรธของพระองค์

2. ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขอทรงพระกรุณาแก่ข้าพระองค์เพราะข้าพระองค์อ่อนโหยโรยแรง ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขอทรงรักษาข้าพระองค์เพราะกระดูกของข้าพระองค์ทุกข์ยากลำบากนัก

3. ทั้งจิตใจของข้าพระองค์ก็ทุกข์ยากลำบากอย่างยิ่ง โอ ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ อีกนานสักเท่าใด

4. ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขอทรงหันมาช่วยชีวิตของข้าพระองค์ให้พ้นด้วยเถิด ขอทรงช่วยข้าพระองค์ให้รอดเพราะเห็นแก่ความเมตตาของพระองค์

5. เพราะถ้าในความตาย ไม่มีการระลึกถึงพระองค์ แล้วในแดนผู้ตายใครเล่าจะโมทนาพระคุณของพระองค์

6. ข้าพระองค์อ่อนเปลี้ยด้วยการคร่ำครวญ และหลั่งน้ำตาท่วมที่นอนตลอดทั้งคืน ที่เอนกายก็ชุ่มโชกไปด้วยน้ำตาของข้าพระองค์

7. ตาของข้าพระองค์ทรุดโทรมไปเพราะความทุกข์ใจ มันอ่อนเพลียลงเพราะคู่อริทั้งปวงของข้าพระองค์

8. บรรดาเจ้าผู้กระทำความชั่วช้าจงพรากไปจากข้า เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงสดับเสียงร้องไห้ของข้าแล้ว

9. พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงสดับคำวิงวอนของข้า พระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงรับคำอธิษฐานของข้า

10. ขอให้ศัตรูทั้งสิ้นของข้าได้อายและลำบากยากนัก ขอให้เขาทั้งหลายหันกลับและได้รับความอับอายในพริบตาเดียว
