1. "เขาได้ให้ข้าพเจ้าทุกข์ยากหลายครั้งตั้งแต่หนุ่มๆมา" ให้อิสราเอลกล่าวเถิดว่า

2. "เขาได้ให้ข้าพเจ้าทุกข์ยากหลายครั้งตั้งแต่หนุ่มๆมา แต่เขายังเอาชนะข้าพเจ้าไม่ได้

3. คนที่ไถก็ได้ไถบนหลังข้าพเจ้า เขาทำรอยไถของเขาให้ยาว"

4. พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงชอบธรรม พระองค์ทรงตัดเครื่องจำจองของคนชั่วออก

5. ขอให้บรรดาผู้ที่เกลียดชังศิโยนได้ขายหน้าและต้องถอยกลับไป

6. ให้เขาเป็นเหมือนหญ้าที่งอกบนหลังคาเรือน ซึ่งเหี่ยวแห้งไปก่อนมันโตขึ้น

7. ซึ่งคนเกี่ยวไม่เก็บใส่มือหรือคนที่มัดฟ่อนไม่เก็บไว้ที่อกของเขา

8. ทั้งคนที่ผ่านไปไม่พูดว่า "ขอพระพรของพระเยโฮวาห์อยู่บนท่านทั้งหลาย เราอวยพรท่านทั้งหลายในพระนามพระเยโฮวาห์"
