บท 61

1. ข้าแต่พระเจ้า ขอทรงฟังเสียงร้องของข้าพระองค์ ขอทรงสดับคำอธิษฐานของข้าพระองค์

2. ข้าพระองค์ร้องทูลพระองค์มาแต่ที่สุดปลายแผ่นดินโลก เมื่อจิตใจของข้าพระองค์อ่อนระอาไป ขอทรงนำข้าพระองค์มาถึงศิลาที่สูงกว่าข้าพระองค์

3. เพราะพระองค์ทรงเป็นที่ลี้ภัยของข้าพระองค์ เป็นหอคอยเข้มแข็งที่ประจันหน้าศัตรู

4. ข้าพระองค์จะอยู่ในพลับพลาของพระองค์เป็นนิตย์ ข้าพระองค์จะวางใจในที่กำบังปีกของพระองค์ เซลาห์

5. ข้าแต่พระเจ้า เพราะพระองค์ทรงสดับคำปฏิญาณของข้าพระองค์ และพระองค์ประทานมรดกของบรรดาผู้ที่เกรงกลัวพระนามของพระองค์แก่ข้าพระองค์

6. พระองค์จะทรงยืดพระชนม์ของกษัตริย์ ให้ปีเดือนของท่านยืนนานไปหลายชั่วอายุ

7. ท่านจะคอยเฝ้าต่อพระพักตร์พระเจ้าเป็นนิตย์ ขอทรงแต่งตั้งความเมตตาและความจริงไว้คุ้มครองท่าน

8. แล้วข้าพระองค์จะร้องเพลงสรรเสริญพระนามของพระองค์เสมอ ตามที่ข้าพระองค์ทำตามคำปฏิญาณอยู่แต่ละวันนั้น
