1. จงสรรเสริญพระเยโฮวาห์เถิด จิตใจของข้าพเจ้าเอ๋ย จงสรรเสริญพระเยโฮวาห์เถิด

2. ข้าพเจ้าจะสรรเสริญพระเยโฮวาห์ตราบเท่าที่ข้าพเจ้ามีชีวิตอยู่ ข้าพเจ้าจะร้องเพลงสรรเสริญพระเจ้าของข้าพเจ้าขณะที่ข้าพเจ้ายังเป็นอยู่

3. อย่าวางใจในเจ้านายหรือในบุตรของมนุษย์ ซึ่งไม่มีความช่วยเหลืออยู่ในตัวเขา

4. เมื่อลมหายใจของเขาพรากไป เขาก็กลับคืนเป็นดิน ในวันเดียวกันนั้นความคิดของเขาก็พินาศ

5. คนที่ผู้อุปถัมภ์ของเขาคือพระเยโฮวาห์ของยาโคบก็เป็นสุข คือผู้ที่ความหวังของเขาอยู่ในพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเขา

6. ผู้ได้ทรงสร้างฟ้าสวรรค์และแผ่นดินโลก ทะเลและบรรดาสิ่งของที่อยู่ในนั้น ผู้รักษาความจริงไว้เป็นนิตย์

7. ผู้ทรงประกอบความยุติธรรมให้แก่คนที่ถูกบีบบังคับ ผู้ประทานอาหารแก่คนที่หิว พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงปล่อยผู้ถูกคุมขังให้เป็นอิสระ

8. พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงเบิกตาของคนตาบอด พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงยกคนที่ตกต่ำให้ลุกขึ้น พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงรักคนชอบธรรม

9. พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงเฝ้าดูคนต่างด้าว พระองค์ทรงชูลูกกำพร้าพ่อและหญิงม่าย แต่พระองค์ทรงพลิกทางของคนชั่ว

10. พระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงครอบครองเป็นนิตย์ ศิโยนเอ๋ย พระเจ้าของเธอจะทรงครอบครองทุกชั่วอายุ จงสรรเสริญพระเยโฮวาห์เถิด
