1. ای خداوند، دل من متکبّر نیست و نه چشمانم برافراشته و خویشتن را به کارهای بزرگ مشغول نساختم، و نه به کارهایی که از عقل من بعید است.
2. بلکه جان خود را آرام و ساکت ساختم، مثل بچهای از شیر باز داشته شده، نزد مادر خود. جانم در من بود، مثل بچه از شیر بازداشته شده.
3. اسرائیل بر خداوند امیدوار باشند، از الآن و تا ابدالآباد.
