فصل 58

1. آیا فی‌الحقیقت به عدالتی که گنگاست سخن می‌گویید؟ و ای بنی‌آدم، آیا به راستی داوری می‌نمایید؟

2. بلکه در دل خود شرارتها به عمل می‌آورید و ظلمِ دستهای خود را در زمین از میزان درمی‌کنید.

3. شریران از رَحِم منحرف هستند، از شکم مادر دروغ گفته، گمراه می‌شوند.

4. ایشان را زهری است مثل زهر مار؛ مثل افعیِ کر که گوش خود را می‌بندد

5. که آواز افسونگران را نمی‌شنود، هر چند به مهارت افسون می‌کند.

6. ای خدا دندانهایشان را در دهانشان بشکن. ای خداوند دندانهای شیران را خرد بشکن.

7. گداخته شده، مثل آب بگذرند. چون او تیرهای خود را می‌اندازد، در ساعت منقطع خواهند شد.

8. مثل حلزون که گداخته شده، می‌گذرد. مثل سِقْط زن، آفتاب را نخواهند دید.

9. قبل از آنکه دیگهای شما آتشِ خارها را احساس کند، آنها را چه تر و چه خشک خواهد رُفت.

10. مردِ عادل چون انتقام را دید شادی خواهد نمود. پایهای خود را به خون شریر خواهد شست.

11. و مردم خواهند گفت، هرآینه ثمرهای برای عادلان هست. هر آینه خدایی هست که در جهان داوری می‌کند.
