1. Veisatkaa Herralle uusi virsi, sillä hän on ihmeitä tehnyt. Hän on saanut voiton oikealla kädellänsä ja pyhällä käsivarrellansa.
2. Herra on tehnyt tiettäväksi pelastustekonsa, hän on ilmaissut vanhurskautensa pakanain silmien edessä.
3. Hän on muistanut armonsa ja uskollisuutensa Israelin heimoa kohtaan; kaikki maan ääret ovat nähneet meidän Jumalamme pelastusteot.
4. Kohottakaa riemuhuuto Herralle, kaikki maa, iloitkaa ja riemuitkaa ja veisatkaa kiitosta.
5. Veisatkaa Herran kiitosta kanteleilla – kanteleilla ja ylistysvirren sävelillä,
6. vaskitorvilla ja pasunan äänellä. Kohottakaa riemuhuuto Herran, kuninkaan, edessä.
7. Pauhatkoon meri ja kaikki, mitä siinä on, maanpiiri ja ne, jotka siinä asuvat.
8. Paukuttakoot käsiänsä virrat, ja vuoret yhdessä riemuitkoot
9. Herran edessä; sillä hän tulee tuomitsemaan maata. Hän tuomitsee maanpiirin vanhurskaasti ja kansat oikeuden mukaan.
