Luku 20
1. Kuulkoon Herra sinua hädän päivänä, varjelkoon sinua Jaakobin Jumalan nimi.
2. (20:3) Hän lähettäköön sinulle avun pyhäköstä ja tukekoon sinua Siionista.
3. (20:4) Muistakoon hän kaikki sinun uhrilahjasi, ja olkoon sinun polttouhrisi lihava hänen silmissään. Sela.
4. (20:5) Hän antakoon sinulle, mitä sydämesi halajaa, ja täyttäköön kaikki sinun aivoituksesi.
5. (20:6) Suotakoon meidän riemuita sinun voitostasi ja nostaa lippumme Jumalamme nimeen. Täyttäköön Herra kaikki sinun pyyntösi.
6. (20:7) Nyt minä tiedän, että Herra auttaa voideltuansa, vastaa hänelle pyhästä taivaastansa, auttaa häntä oikean kätensä voimallisilla teoilla.
7. (20:8) Toiset turvaavat vaunuihin, toiset hevosiin, mutta me tunnustamme Herran, Jumalamme, nimeä.
8. (20:9) He vaipuvat maahan ja kaatuvat, mutta me nousemme ja pysymme pystyssä.
9. (20:10) Herra, auta! Vastatkoon kuningas meille, kun huudamme.
