1. Syvyydestä minä huudan sinua, Herra.

2. Herra, kuule minun ääneni. Tarkatkoot sinun korvasi minun rukousteni ääntä.

3. Jos sinä, Herra, pidät mielessäsi synnit, Herra, kuka silloin kestää?

4. Mutta sinun tykönäsi on anteeksiantamus, että sinua peljättäisiin.

5. Minä odotan Herraa, minun sieluni odottaa, ja minä panen toivoni hänen sanaansa.

6. Minun sieluni odottaa Herraa hartaammin kuin vartijat aamua, kuin vartijat aamua.
