باب 12

1. اور خداوند نے موسی سے کہا۔

2. بنی اسرائی سے کہہ کہ اگر کوئی عورت حاملہ ہو اور اسکے لڑکا ہو تو وہ سات دن ناپاک رہیگی جیسے حیض کے ایام میں رہتی ہے

3. اور آٹھویں دن لڑکے کا ختنہ کیا جائے۔

4. اسکے بعد تینتیس دن تک وہ طہارت کے خون میں رہے اور جب تن اسکی طہارت کے ایام پورے نہ ہوں تب تک نہ تو کسی مقدس چیز کو چھوئے اور مقدس میں داخل ہو۔

5. اور اگر اسکے لڑکی ہو تو وہ دو ہفتے ناپاک رہیگی جیسے حیض کے ایام میں رہتی ہے۔اسکے بعد وہ چھیاسٹھ دن تک طہارت کے خون میں رہے۔

6. اور جب اسکی طہارت کے ایام پورے ہو جائیں تو خواہ اسکے بیٹا ہوا ہو یا بیٹی وہ سوختنی قربانی کے لئے ایک یکسالہ برہ اور خطا کی قربانی کے لئے کبوتر کا ایک بچہ ایک قمری خیمہ اجتماع کے دروازہ پر کاہن کے پاس لائے۔

7. اور کاہن اسے خداوند کے حضور گذرانے اور اسکے لئے کفارہ دے۔ تب وہ اپنے جریان خون سے پاک ٹھہریگی۔جس عورت کے لڑکا یا لڑکی ہو اسکے بارے میں شرع یہ ہے۔

8. اور اگر اسکو برہ لانے کا مقدور نہ ہو تووہ دو قمریاں یا کبوتر کے دو بچے ایک سوختنی قربانی کے لئےاور دوسرا خطا کی قربانیکے لئے لائے۔یوں کاہن اسکے لئے کفارہ دے تو وہ پاک ٹھہریگی۔
