Kapittel 128

1. Lykksalig er hver den som frykter Herren, som vandrer på hans veier.

2. Frukten av dine henders arbeid skal du nyte; lykksalig er du, og det går dig vel.

3. Din hustru er som et fruktbart vintre der inne i ditt hus, dine barn som oljekvister rundt om ditt bord.

4. Se, således blir den mann velsignet som frykter Herren.

5. Herren skal velsigne dig fra Sion, og du skal skue med lyst Jerusalems lykke alle ditt livs dager.

6. Og du skal se barn av dine barn. Fred være over Israel!
