Kapittel 125

1. De som setter sin lit til Herren, er som Sions berg, som ikke rokkes, men står evindelig.

2. Rundt omkring Jerusalem er det fjell, og Herren omhegner sitt folk fra nu av og inntil evig tid.

3. For ugudelighetens kongestav skal ikke hvile på de rettferdiges arvelodd, forat ikke de rettferdige skal utstrekke sine hender efter urettferdighet.

4. Gjør godt, Herre, mot de gode, mot dem som er opriktige i sine hjerter!

5. Men dem som bøier av til sine krokete veier, skal Herren la fare sammen med dem som gjør urett. Fred være over Israel!
