Kapitel 76
1. Gud är känd i Juda, i Israel är hans namn stort;
2. (76:3) i Salem vart hans hydda rest och hans boning på Sion.
3. (76:4) Där bröt han sönder bågens ljungeldar, sköld och svärd och vad till kriget hör. Sela.
4. (76:5) Full av ljus och härlighet går du fram ifrån segerbytenas berg.
5. (76:6) De stormodiga äro avväpnade, de hava slumrat in och sova; alla stridsmännen hava måst låta händerna falla.
6. (76:7) För din näpst, du Jakobs Gud, ligga domnade både man och häst.
7. (76:8) Du, du är fruktansvärd; vem kan bestå inför dig, när du vredgas?
8. (76:9) Från himmelen lät du höra din dom; då förskräcktes jorden och vart stilla,
9. (76:10) då när Gud stod upp till dom, till att frälsa alla ödmjuka på jorden. Sela.
10. (76:11) Ty människors vrede varder dig till pris; du har vrede till övers att omgjorda dit med.
11. (76:12) Gören löften och infrien dem åt HERREN, eder Gud; alla de som äro omkring honom bäre fram skänker åt den Fruktansvärde.
12. (76:13) Ty han stäcker furstarnas övermod; fruktansvärd är han för konungarna på jorden.
