Sura 47

1. Neno la Bwana lililomjia Yeremia, nabii, katika habari za Wafilisti, kabla Farao hajapiga Gaza.

2. Bwana asema hivi, Tazama, maji yanatokea katika pande za kaskazini, nayo yatakuwa mto ufurikao, nayo yataifunika nchi, na kila kitu kilichomo, huo mji na wote wakaao ndani yake; nao watu watalia na watu wote wakaao katika nchi watapiga yowe.

3. Kwa sababu ya mshindo wa kukanyaga kwato za farasi wake walio hodari, kwa sababu ya mwendo wa mbiombio wa magari yake ya vita; kwa sababu ya ngurumo ya magurudumu yake, hao akina baba hawatazami nyuma ili kuwaangalia watoto wao, kwa kuwa mikono yao ni dhaifu;

4. kwa sababu ya siku ijayo kuwaangamiza Wafilisti wote, kukatilia mbali kila msaidizi wa Tiro na Sidoni asaliaye; maana Bwana atawaharibu Wafilisti, mabaki ya kisiwa cha Kaftori.

5. Upaa umeupata Gaza; Ashkeloni umenyamazishwa Mabaki ya bonde lao; Hata lini utajikata-kata?

6. Ee upanga wa Bwana, Siku ngapi zitapita kabla hujatulia? Ujitie katika ala yako; Pumzika, utulie.

7. Utawezaje kutulia, Ikiwa Bwana amekupa agizo? Juu ya Ashkeloni na juu ya pwani, Ndipo alipoyaamuru hayo.
