فصل 10

1. و اَخْشُورُش‌ پادشاه‌ بر زمینها و جزایر دریا جزیه‌ گذارد،

2. و جمیع‌ اعمال‌ قوّت‌ و توانایی او و تفصیل‌ عظمت‌ مُرْدِخای‌ كه‌ چگونه‌ پادشاه‌ او را معظّم‌ ساخت‌، آیا در كتاب‌ تواریخ‌ ایام‌ پادشاهان‌ مادی‌ و فارس‌ مكتوب‌نیست‌؟

3. زیرا كه‌ مُرْدِخای‌ یهودی‌، بعد از اَخْشُورُش‌ پادشاه‌، شخص‌ دوّم‌ بود و در میان‌ یهود محترم‌ و نزد جمعیت‌ برادران‌ خویش مقبول‌ شده‌، سعادتمندی‌ قوم‌ خویش‌ را می‌طلبید و برای‌ تمامی‌ ابنای‌ جنس‌ خود، سخنان‌ صلح‌آمیز می‌گفت‌.
