فصل 36

1. معصیت شریر در اندرون دل منمی‌گوید که ترس خدا در مد نظر او نیست.

2. زیرا خویشتن را در نظر خود تملق می‌گوید تا گناهش ظاهر نشود و مکروه نگردد.

3. سخنان زبانش شرارت و حیله است. از دانشمندی و نیکوکاری دست برداشته است.

4. شرارت را بر بستر خود تفکر می‌کند. خود را به راه ناپسند قائم کرده، از بدی نفرت ندارد.

5. ای خداوند رحمت تو در آسمانها است وامانت تو تا افلاک.

6. عدالت تو مثل کوه‌های خداست و احکام تو لجهٔ عظیم. ای خداوند انسان و بهایم را نجات می‌دهی.

7. ای خدا رحمت تو چه ارجمند است. بنی‌آدم زیر سایهٔ بالهای تو پناه می‌برند.

8. از چربی خانهٔ تو شاداب می‌شوند. از نهر خوشیهای خود ایشان را می‌نوشانی.

9. زیرا که نزد تو چشمهٔ حیات است و در نور تو نور را خواهیم دید.

10. رحمت خود را برای عارفان خود مستدام فرما و عدالت خود را برای راست دلان.

11. پای تکبر بر من نیاید و دست شریران مرا گریزان نسازد.

12. در آنجا بدکرداران افتاده‌اند. ایشان انداخته شده‌اند و نمی‌توانند برخاست.
