ምዕራፍ 45

1. በይሁዳ ንጉሥ በኢዮስያስ ልጅ በኢዮአቄም በአራተኛው ዓመት የኔርያ ልጅ ባሮክ እነዚህን ቃሎች ከኤርምያስ አፍ በመጽሐፍ በጻፋቸው ጊዜ፥ ነቢዩ ኤርምያስ የተናገረው ቃል ይህ ነው።

2. ባሮክ ሆይ፥ የእስራኤል አምላክ እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ይልሃል።

3. አንተ። እግዚአብሔር በሕመሜ ላይ ኀዘንን ጨምሮብኛልና ወዮልኝ! በልቅሶዬ ጩኸት ደክሜአለሁ፥ ዕረፍትንም አላገኘሁም ብለሃል።

4. እንዲህ በለው። እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ይላል። እነሆ፥ የሠራሁትን አፈርሳለሁ፥ የተከልሁትንም እነቅላለሁ፤ ይኸውም በምድር ሁሉ ነው።

5. ለራስህ ታላቅን ነገር ትፈልጋለህን? በሥጋ ለባሽ ሁሉ ላይ፥ እነሆ፥ ክፉ ነገርን አመጣለሁና አትፈልገው፥ ይላል እግዚአብሔር፤ ነገር ግን በሄድህበት ስፍራ ሁሉ ነፍስህን እንደ ምርኮ አድርጌ እሰጥሃለሁ።
