1. Kukhumbule, Yehova, okusihleleyo; Bheka, uyibone ingcikivo yethu.

2. Ilifa lethu lisuke lenziwa elabasemzini, Izindlu zethu zalunga kwabolunye uhlanga.

3. Siziinkedama, asinabawo; Oma banjengabahlolokazi.

4. Amanzi ethu siwasela ngesilivere; Iinkuni zethu ziza kuthi ngexabiso.

5. Intshutshiso iphezu kwentamo yethu; Sidiniwe, asinakuphumla.

6. Isandla sisinika amaYiputa, Nama-Asiriya, ukuba sihluthe sisonka.

7. Oobawo bonile, abasekho; Thina sithwele ubugwenxa babo.

8. Silawulwa ngabakhonzi; Akukho usiqhiwulayo ezandleni zabo.

9. Isonka sethu sisizuza ngomphefumlo wethu usisichenge. Ngenxa yekrele lasentlango.

10. Ulusu lwethu luyavutha njengeziko Ngenxa yolophu lwendlala.

11. Badlwengule abafazi eZiyon, Iintombi emizini yakwaYuda.

12. Baxhome abathetheli ngezandla; Ubuso bamadoda amakhulu abubekwa.

13. Amadodana athwala amatye okusila, Amakhwenkwe akhubeka phantsi kweenkuni.

14. Amadoda amakhulu aphezile ukuya esangweni; Amadodana, ekubetheni uhadi.

15. Iphelile imihlali yentliziyo yethu, Ukuqamba kwethu kujike kwaba kukumbambazela.

16. Siwile isithsaba entlokweni yethu; Yeha ke thina! kuba sonile.

17. Ngenxa yoko ityhafile intliziyo yethu; Ngenxa yezo zinto amnyama amehlo ethu;

18. Ngenxa yentaba yaseZiyon, kuba ibharhile, Kuhamba iimpungutye phezu kwayo.

19. Wena, Yehova, uhleli ngonaphakade; Itrone yakho ikwisizukulwana ngesizukulwana.

20. Yini na ukuba usilibale ngonaphakade, Usilahle imihla emide?

21. Sibuyisele kuwe, Yehova; sobuya; Hlaziya imihla yethu njengokwamandulo.

22. Ungaba usicekise mpela na, Wanoburhalarhume kuthi ngokukhulukazi na?
