Psalmid 83
Peatükk 83
1. Aasafi laul ja lugu.
2. Jumal, ära ole nii vait, ära vaiki! Ära jää vagusi, mu Jumal!
3. Sest vaata, su vaenlased möllavad ja su vihkajad ajavad pea püsti.
4. Sinu rahva vastu nad sepitsevad kavatsusi ja peavad nõu sinu varju all olijate vastu.
5. Nad ütlevad: 'Lähme ja hävitame nad rahvaste seast, nõnda et Iisraeli nimegi ei mäletata enam!'
6. Sest nemad on ühel meelel pidanud nõu ja teinud lepingu sinu vastu:
7. Edomi telgid ja Ismaeli, Moabi ja Hagri rahvas,
8. Gebal ja Ammon ja Amalek, Vilistimaa ja Tüürose elanikud.
9. Ka Assur on heitnud nende kilda, nad on Loti lastele käsivarreks. Sela.
10. Tee neile nõnda, nagu sa tegid Midjanile, nagu Siiserale, nagu Jaabinile Kiisoni jõe ääres!
11. Nad hävitati Eendoris; nad said sõnnikuks mullale.
12. Tee nende ülemad Oorebi ja Seebi sarnaseks ja kõik nende maavalitsejad Sebahi ja Salmuna taolisteks,
13. kes ütlesid: 'Me omandame enestele Jumala aasad!'
14. Mu Jumal, tee nad ohakakera sarnaseiks, nagu põhk tuule kätte!
15. Nõnda nagu tuli põletab metsa ja leek paneb lõõmama mäed,
16. nõnda aja neid taga oma marutuulega ja tee neile hirmu oma tuulispeaga!
17. Täida nende silmad häbistusega, et nad otsiksid sinu nime, Issand!
18. Häbenegu nad ja ehmugu ikka ja igavesti; jäägu nad häbisse ja mingu hukka
