1. Taaveti laul. Sinu poole, Issand, ma hüüan, mu kalju! Ära pöördu vaikides minust eemale, et ma su vaitolemise tõttu ei saaks nende sarnaseks, kes lähevad alla hauda!
2. Kuule mu anumise häält, kui ma kisendan su poole, kui ma tõstan oma käed su pühamu pühima paiga poole!
3. Ära rebi mind ära koos õelatega ja nurjatuse tegijatega, kes räägivad oma ligimestega rahust, kuigi nende südames on kurjus!
4. Anna neile nende tegemist mööda ja nende kurje tegusid mööda; nende kätetöö järgi anna neile, tasu neile kätte nende tegu mööda!
5. Sest nad ei pane tähele Issanda tegemisi ega tema kätetööd. Kiskugu tema nad maha ja ärgu ta ehitagu neid enam üles!
6. Kiidetud olgu Issand, sest ta on kuulnud mu anumise häält!
7. Issand on mu tugevus ja mu kilp, tema peale lootis mu süda ja ma sain abi. Sellepärast ilutseb mu süda ja ma tänan teda oma lauluga.
8. Issand on neile tugevuseks. Ta on oma võitud mehe võidusaamise kindlustus.
9. Päästa oma rahvas ja õnnista oma pärisosa; hoia neid nagu karjane ja kanna neid igavesti!
