章 137
1. われらはバビロンの川のほとりにすわり、シオンを思い出して涙を流した。
2. われらはその中のやなぎにわれらの琴をかけた。
3. われらをとりこにした者が、われらに歌を求めたからである。われらを苦しめる者が楽しみにしようと、「われらにシオンの歌を一つうたえ」と言った。
4. われらは外国にあって、どうして主の歌をうたえようか。
5. エルサレムよ、もしわたしがあなたを忘れるならば、わが右の手を衰えさせてください。
6. もしわたしがあなたを思い出さないならば、もしわたしがエルサレムをわが最高の喜びとしないならば、わが舌をあごにつかせてください。
7. 主よ、エドムの人々がエルサレムの日に、「これを破壊せよ、これを破壊せよ、その基までも破壊せよ」と言ったことを覚えてください。
8. 破壊者であるバビロンの娘よ、あなたがわれらにしたことを、あなたに仕返しする人はさいわいである。
9. あなたのみどりごを取って岩になげうつ者はさいわいである。
