1. Maňa Rebbiň sözi geldi:

2. «Eý, ynsan ogly! Üzüm agajyndan, ýagny jeňňel agaçlarynyň arasyndaky üzüm şahasyndan näme edilýär? Tokaýyň ähli agaçlary bilen deňeşdireniňde, onuň peýdasy ýokdur.

3. Iş üçin ondan agaç alynýarmy? Ýa üstünden bir zat asmak üçin asgyç ýasalýarmy?

4. Ol odun hökmünde ýakylýar. Ot onuň iki ujuny ýakyp, ortasyny garaldansoň, ol derde ýararmy?

5. Abatka derde ýaramadyk zat, oda ýanyp garalansoň işe ýararmy?».

6. Munuň üçin Hökmürowan Reb şeýle diýýär: «Men tokaý agaçlarynyň arasyndan üzüm agajyny odun hökmünde nädip ýakan bolsam, Iýerusalimiň ilatyny-da şeýdip oda ýakaryn.

7. Men olardan ýüzümi öwrerin. Olar bir otdan gaçyp gutulsalar-da, beýleki bir ot barybir olary ýandyrar. Ýüzümi olaryň garşysyna öwrenimde, siz Meniň Rebdigimi bilersiňiz.

8. Onsoň olaryň Maňa dönüklik edendigi üçin ýurdy haraba öwrerin». Muny Hökmürowan Reb diýýär.
