1. Вавилоны гол мөрнүүдийн дэргэдБид сууж, Сионыг санан уйлцгаасан.

2. Бид босоо ятгаа, хөгжмүүдээУд модонд өлгөсөн.

3. Учир нь тэнд олзлон авагчид маань биднээс дуу шаардан,“Сионы дуунуудаас нэгийг бидэнд дуулаач” хэмээнБиднийг зовоогчид баяр хөөр шаардсан юм.

4. Бид ЭЗЭНий дуугХарь нутагт яаж дуулах вэ?

5. Иерусалим аа, хэрэв би чамайг мартсансан болМиний баруун гар чадвараа алдах болтугай.

6. Хэрвээ би чамайг санахгүй бол,Хэрвээ би ИерусалимыгӨөрийн хамгийн дээд баясгалангаас илүүгээр өргөмжлөхгүй болХэл минь тагнайнд минь наалдаг.

7. Өө, ЭЗЭН,“Түүнийг нураа, түүнийг нураа,Суурь хүртэл нь нураа” гэж байсан Едомын хөвгүүдэдИерусалимын хөнөөлт өдрийг сануулаач.

8. Сүйрсэн нэгэн болох Вавилоны охин оо,Чиний бидэнд хариу үйлдсэн ёсоорЧамд хариулагч нэгэн юутай ерөөлтэй байх вэ!

9. Чиний нялх хүүхдүүдийг барьж аванХад уруу шидэгч нэгэн юутай ерөөлтэй байх вэ!
