अध्याय 15

1. मवाबबद्दल ही शापवाणी. एका रात्रीत आर मवाब लुटले गेले. त्या रात्री शहराचा नाश केला गेला. एका रात्री सैन्याने कीर मवाब लुटले. त्या रात्री शहराचा नाश केला गेला.

2. राजघराणे व दीबोनमधील लोक गाऱ्हाणे गायला पूजास्थानाला जात आहेत. नबो व मेदबा यांच्यासाठी मवाबचे लोक रडत आहेत. आपले दु:ख प्रकट करण्यासाठी सर्वांनी मुंडन केले आहे व दाढी केली आहे.

3. मवाबमधील सर्वांनी घरादारातील सर्वांनी काळे कपडे घातले आहेत व ते रडत आहेत.

4. हेशबोन व एलाले येथील लोक एवढ्यामोठ्याने रडत आहेत की त्यांचा आवाज दूरच्या याहसा शहरापर्यंत ऐकू येत आहे. एवढेच काय पण सैनिकही गर्भगळीत होऊन भीतीने कापत आहेत.

5. मवाबच्या दु:खाने माझे मन रडत आहे. लोक बचावासाठी धावत आहेत. ते दूर सोअर व एगलाथ शलिशीयापर्यंत पळतात. लूहीथच्या चढणीवर ते रडत रडत चढत आहेत. होरोनाइमच्या वाटेवर लोक मोठ्याने आक्रोश करीत जात आहेत.

6. पण निम्रीमाचे पाणी आटले आहे. सर्व झाडेझुडपे वाळली आहेत. कोठेच हिरवेपणा नाही.

7. म्हणून लोक स्वत:ची संपत्ती गोळा करून मवाब सोडतात. ते ही संपत्ती घेऊन वाळुंजच्या खाडीपलीकडे जातात.

8. मवाबमध्ये सगळीकडे रडणे ऐकू येत आहे. लांब असलेल्या एग्लाइममधील लोक रडत आहेत आणि बैर-एलिममध्येही आक्रोश सुरू आहे.

9. दीमोनचेपाणी सक्ताने लालभडक झाले आहे. मी परमेश्वर दीमोनवर आणखी संकटे आणीन, मवाबमधील काही थोडी माणसे शत्रूच्या हातातून निसटली आहेत पण मी त्यांच्यावर त्यांना खाऊन टाकण्यासाठी सिंह पाठवीन.
