પ્રકરણ 2

1. તેમણે મને કહ્યું, “હે મનુષ્યના પુત્ર, ઊભો થા, મારે તારી સાથે વાત કરવી છે.”

2. તેમણે મારી સાથે વાત કરી અને દેવનો આત્મા મારી અંદર પ્રવેશ્યો અને હું પગ પર ઊભો થયો; અને મેં તેમની વાણી સાંભળી.

3. તેમણે મને કહ્યું, “હે મનુષ્યના પુત્ર, હું તને ઇસ્રાએલ પાસે, હા, મારી વિરુદ્ધ બંડ કરનાર પ્રજા પાસે મોકલું છું, તેઓ તથા તેઓના પિતૃઓ આજ દિવસ સુધી મારી વિરુદ્ધ પાપ કરતા આવ્યા છે.

4. તેઓ ઉદ્ધત અને હઠીલા છે, તેમની વચ્ચે હું તને મોકલું છું, તું તેમને મારી વાણી સંભળાવજે.

5. ભલે પછી તેઓ તને સાંભળે કે ન સાંભળે. એ તો બંડખોરોની પ્રજા છે; તોપણ તેમને એટલી તો ખબર પડશે કે તેમની વચ્ચે કોઇ પ્રબોધક આવ્યો છે.

6. “પણ, હે મનુષ્યના પુત્ર, તું તેમનાથી ડરીશ નહિ કે તેમના વચનોથી ગભરાઇશ નહિ; ભલે તારી ચારે બાજુ ઝાંખરાં અને કાંટાઓ હોય અને તારે વીંછીઓની આસપાસ વસવું પડે, તેમ છતાં તું તેમનાથી ડરીશ નહિ, અને નાસીપાસ થઇશ નહિ, કારણ કે તેઓ તો બંડખોરો પ્રજા છે.

7. અને તારે તેઓને તે કહેવું જે મેં તને કહૃયુ, પછી ભલે તે લોકો સાંભળે કે ન સાંભળે કારણ કે તેઓ તો બળવાખોર પ્રજા છે.

8. “હે મનુષ્યના પુત્ર, હું જે કહું છું તે સાંભળ, એ બંડખોરોની જેમ તું બંડખોર થઇશ નહિ, તારુ મુખ ઉઘાડ અને હું તને આપું છું તે તું ખાઇ જા.”

9. અને મેં જોયું તો ઓળિયું પકડેલો એક હાથ મારા તરફ લંબાયેલો હતો;

10. તેમણે મારી આગળ ઓળિયું ખુલ્લું કર્યું. તેમાં બન્ને તરફ લખાયેલું હતું; તેમાં અંતિમ ક્રિયાના ગીતો, શોકગીતો તથા વિલાપ ગીતો લખેલા હતાં.
