1. แล้วบิลดัดคนชูอาห์ตอบว่า

2. "พระเจ้าทรงอำนาจในการครอบครองและทรงให้ยำเกรงพระองค์ ทรงกระทำสันติภาพในสวรรค์เบื้องสูงของพระองค์

3. กองทัพของพระองค์มีจำนวนหรือ ความสว่างของพระองค์มิได้ส่องมาเหนือผู้ใดบ้าง

4. แล้วมนุษย์จะชอบธรรมต่อพระพักตร์พระเจ้าได้อย่างไร คนที่เกิดจากผู้หญิงจะสะอาดได้อย่างไร

5. ดูเถิด ถึงแม้ดวงจันทร์ก็ไม่มีความสุกใส และดวงดาวก็ไม่บริสุทธิ์ในสายพระเนตรของพระองค์

6. มนุษย์จะยิ่งสะอาดน้อยกว่านั้นเท่าใด ผู้เป็นเพียงตัวดักแด้ และบุตรของมนุษย์เล่า ผู้เป็นเพียงตัวหนอน"
