فصل 47

1. كلام‌ خداوند درباره‌ فلسطینیان‌ كه برارمیا نبی‌ نازل‌ شد قبل‌ از آنكه‌ فرعون‌ غَزّه‌ را مغلوب‌ بسازد.

2. خداوند چنین‌ می‌گوید: «اینك‌ آبها از شمال‌ برمی‌آید و مثل‌ نهری‌ سیلان‌ می‌كند و زمین‌ را با آنچه‌ در آن‌ است‌ و شهر و ساكنانش‌ را درمی‌گیرد. و مردمان‌ فریاد برمی‌آورند و جمیع‌ سكنه‌ زمین‌ وِلوِلَه‌ می‌نمایند

3. از صدای‌ سمهای‌ اسبان‌ زورآورش‌ و از غوغای‌ ارابه‌هایش‌ و شورش‌ چرخهایش‌. و پدران‌ به‌ سبب‌ سستی‌ دستهای‌ خود به‌ فرزندان‌ خویش‌ اعتنا نمی‌كنند.

4. به‌ سبب‌ روزی‌ كه‌ برای‌ هلاكت‌ جمیع‌ فلسطینیان‌ می‌آید كه‌ هر نصرت‌كننده‌ای‌ را كه‌ باقی‌ می‌ماند از صور و صیدون‌ منقطع‌ خواهد ساخت‌. زیرا خداوند فلسطینیان‌ یعنی‌ بقیه‌ جزیره‌ كَفْتور را هلاك‌ خواهد ساخت‌.

5. اهل‌ غَزَّه‌ بریده‌ مو گشته‌اند و اَشْقَلون‌ و بقیه‌ وادی‌ ایشان‌ هلاك‌ شده‌ است‌. تا به‌ كی‌ بدن‌ خود را خواهی‌ خراشید؟

6. آه‌ ای‌ شمشیر خداوند تا به‌ كی‌ آرام‌ نخواهی‌ گرفت‌؟ به‌ غلاف‌ خود برگشته‌، مستریح‌ و آرام‌ شو.

7. چگونه‌ می‌توانی‌ آرام‌ بگیری‌، با آنكه‌ خداوند تو را براَشْقَلون‌ و بر ساحل‌ دریا مأمور فرموده‌ و تو را به‌ آنجا تعیین‌ نموده‌ است‌؟»
