3. യഹോവ എന്റെ വേദനയോടു ദുഃഖം കൂട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഞരക്കംകൊണ്ടു തളർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഒരു ആശ്വാസവും കാണുന്നില്ല എന്നു നീ പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.
4. ഞാൻ പണിതതു ഞാൻ തന്നേ ഇടിച്ചുകളയുന്നു; ഞാൻ നട്ടതു ഞാൻ തന്നേ പറിച്ചുകളയുന്നു; ഭൂമിയിൽ എങ്ങും അതു അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.
5. എന്നാൽ നീ നിനക്കായിട്ടു വലിയ കാര്യങ്ങളെ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നുവോ? ആഗ്രഹിക്കരുതു; ഞാൻ സർവ്വജഡത്തിന്നും അനർത്ഥം വരുത്തും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; എങ്കിലും നീ പോകുന്ന എല്ലാ ഇടത്തും ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ജീവനെ നിനക്കു കൊള്ളപോലെ തരും എന്നിങ്ങനെ നീ അവനോടു പറയേണം എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
